Efficient modeling of production and logistics systems (Bachelor, Diplom, Master)

Background and classification

This topic addresses the challenge of developing models that accurately depict the actual workflows and processes of existing and/or planned production and logistics systems. In today’s business world, efficient and flexible systems are essential. A particular challenge in modeling such systems is taking different scenarios and changes over time into account.
Designing and generalizing a component library for production and logistics systems in AnyLogic offers a promising solution to this problem. AnyLogic is powerful simulation software that can be used to create simulation models for various domains. With the help of a generalized block library, users can develop efficient models that reflect the complexity of real-world production and logistics systems.

Objective

This thesis aims to design a generalised component library for AnyLogic and develop initial modelling elements flexible enough for use in various production and logistics systems. The thesis will focus on generalising these elements to ensure they can easily be adapted to specific system requirements, maximising efficiency and flexibility in different contexts.
